Аdapted swimming tournament
On the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities, an adapted swimming tournament “Sofia Cup” was organized on December 3rd. 103 children from all over Bulgaria participated. Smiles, joy and happy faces lit up the whole hall!
The tournament is organized by ParaKids and is financed by the Sofia 2018 Foundation – European Capital of Sports under the program for the integration of children with special needs of the Sofia Municipal Council.
4 medals were won by the children with Down syndrome, whom the “Dokova and Dokov Foundation” supports by providing them with free training 2 times a week.
4 medals that made the winners even happier and pumped for the next challenge!
12 children supports the Dokova and Dokov Foundation for the Future by funding swimming training as part of its activities to support children with disabilities and special educational needs. Adapted swimming is an opportunity for children with Down syndrome to immerse themselves in the world of movement and freedom in the water. Thanks to the efforts of the team of the Pluvai with me sports club and coach Milen Fidanov, the children not only learn to swim, but are already very good competitors with a lot of drive and ambition to prove that they can.
Our foundation team congratulated the winners and their families.
All the kids did great and swam like true Olympic champions! Because people with Down syndrome can, succeed and develop daily and their place is in society.
Благодарим на всички, които присъстваха, и се надяваме, че ви е било от полза!
До следващия път!
