LEGO®Education educational activities for children with SEN and psychological support for parents in the center for child development "Smiles"

We are proud to announce the new project of the “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation for 2024 – a series of LEGO®Education educational activities designed for children with special needs and psychological support for parents, which will be held at the Smiles Child Development Center.

This project is possible thanks to the financial support of the Foundation “Public Board of TELUS International in Bulgaria”.

Activities and Objectives of the Project

Educational activities LEGO®Education

The project covers weekly educational sessions for children aged 3-7, including children at risk and children with special educational needs (SEN), as well as entertainment for children with Down syndrome.

Support for Parents:

The second direction of the project is aimed at parents of children with Down syndrome, and includes psychological support or a psychologist-moderator who will participate in the organised monthly groups for mutual help and support at the Center for Child Development “Smiles” – joint events with our partner Life with Down Syndrome / Life with Down Syndrome.

Lego Education - reBuild the world

My XL World is designed to develop children's social skills and deepen their understanding of the world around them through role-playing, fun building and sharing ideas. This educational solution builds children's confidence as well as key social skills such as teamwork, communication and understanding roles and responsibilities. Working in groups of 2 to 10 children, little ones have the colorful collection of 480 bricks, figures, wheel bases, windows, doors and bricks, a plane, a car and even a submarine - LEGO® DUPLO®. With these materials they can build their own home, restaurant, bus stop, hospital and fire station. Using their imaginations they can create fantastic animals and make up their own funny stories.
