CALL FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS FOR TARGETED GRANT FUNDING

Deadline for submitting a letter of interest: October 2, 2022.
Deadline for submitting a full project proposal: November 7, 2022.
Start date of projects: 1 February 2023.
Maximum duration of supported projects: 3 (three) months
The main goal of the program “Support for personal growth and empowerment of girls and women” is to improve awareness in society and provide conditions for building and realizing the concepts of empowerment, personal happiness and development of girls (from 14 to 18 years old) and /or women, which various centers, community centers or schools can provide. The current program also reflects the need to counter gender-based violence by developing sustainable engagement and empowerment strategies to prevent violence and promote help-seeking and support.
The program “Support for personal growth and empowerment of girls and women” is part of the “Do #1thing for yourself” campaign of the “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation.
BUDGET
Projects with a minimum budget of BGN 3,000 and a maximum of BGN 10,000 will be financed within the framework of the competition.
The total budget of the Foundation under the current program is BGN 40,000.
ACTIVITIES
- Explanatory, communication and/or educational campaigns for personal development and empowerment of girls (girls – 14 to 18) and/or women;
- Motivational activities, psychological support and/or conducting campaigns for the prevention and non-admission of violence in any form against girls (girls – 14 to 18 years) and/or women;
- Visualization and publicity of the project.
Expected results
- Change in the attitudes of the target groups – empowerment, developed desire and readiness to take personal responsibility for their own happiness and personal development;
- Built skills, knowledge for self-analysis, development, readiness for change and work on oneself;
- Better knowledge and engagement of society with the topic of non-violence and recognition of the personal right to development and happiness.
Publicity of the project.
ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES
- Non-governmental organizations for public benefit;
- Schools;
- Reading centers;
- Development and/or Support Centers.
In the event of an insufficient number of applications received and/or organizations approved for funding, the Foundation reserves the right to change the conditions of the specific funding allocation procedure, including the amount of funding and the overall budget.
