The “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation has supported the “Svetlina” Folklore Dance Ensemble at the “Svetlina 1940” Community Center in Sofia with a donation that will help fund the young dancers’ journey to South Korea.

They will represent Bulgaria at the prestigious Cheonan World Dance Festival 2025, where cultures from around the globe meet through the rhythm of dance – a celebration of tradition, energy, and spirit.
Svetlina Ensemble doesn’t simply perform – it tells the story of Bulgaria through every movement, every step, and every beat.

Founded back in 1940, the ensemble holds numerous national and international awards, but its most valuable recognition is the love of the people who have followed and preserved it over the years.

Their performances combine Bulgarian traditions, heart, and professionalism – true ambassadors of the Bulgarian spirit and culture.

The “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation believes that preserving and promoting Bulgarian cultural heritage is not just an act of goodwill – it is a duty. A duty to our ancestors, to our children, and to ourselves.
