We lend a hand to Zita’s Friends Equine Therapy

For more than a year now, we have been proud adopters of Zita, and for a few months now of Holly – horses that provide hippotherapy for children.

Equine therapy for children with special needs allows combining the useful with the pleasant. Little ones get the opportunity to develop their motor skills, posture and coordination while riding. Their emotional state and perception of the world also improves significantly.

Due to the proven therapeutic benefit of riding, it is used for treatment and as a kinesitherapeutic agent for a number of disorders (cerebral palsy, spina befida, injuries of the musculoskeletal system, etc.).

The benefit of equine therapy is manifested both in terms of physical development of children and in terms of their psychological state and social status.

Riding, playing, horse-assisted activities greatly improve motor coordination, balance, sensory perception, social and learning skills.
