Boutique Weekend with a Cause:

“The Cost of Change”

Boutique Weekend with a Cause:

What do we lose when we choose to gain

Change always asks something of us. It never comes without a cost. The question is not whether we will pay it, but what that cost will be and whether we will do so consciously.

“The Cost of Change – What Do We Lose When We Gain” is a boutique two-day weekend dedicated to women who find themselves on the threshold of an important life transition. Women who feel an inner pause – in the form of fear, guilt, loyalty, or unspoken loss – and who are seeking a space for clarity and inner re-ordering.

How did the event unfold?

The format brought together around 20 participants in a protected and focused space where family and systemic constellations were used, along with work around the themes of loss and gain connected to change. Special attention was given to the inner conflict between “I want to” and “I don’t allow myself.”

This was not training in the traditional sense. It was an experience – a deep process that led to inner re-ordering and more mature choices.

The weekend was intended for women who were ready to step out of old roles and agreements, who felt they were carrying more than truly belonged to them, and who desired change, but not at any cost. This was not a format for everyone – it was for women who chose awareness and maturity.

Participants left with greater clarity about their personal cost of change, with a release from hidden loyalties, and with a quieter, more stable inner place.

The event took place in the village of Valevtsi from January 30 to February 1 (Saturday and Sunday), in a boutique format designed entirely for women.

We donated all funds raised from the event

Funds raised

The funds collected from the event amounted to €1,250. Our foundation matched this amount with an additional €1,250 from its own fund. In addition, Guest House Valevtsi, our generous hosts, also joined the charitable initiative. The total amount raised reached €3,000.

Therapeutic Children’s House Foundation

This amount will be donated to the Therapeutic House Foundation for the construction of a Therapeutic Children’s House – a specialized space for children with disabilities, created by teacher and special educator Irena Milyankova, who has many years of experience working with children with special needs.

What will the donation support?

The Therapeutic Children’s House is a place that offers an adapted, stimulating, and protected environment for children with:

  • autism
  • motor and intellectual difficulties
  • hearing and communication impairments
  • hyperactivity and attention deficit
  • multiple combined disabilities

The environment in the house uses lights, sounds, textures, and colors to create a safe and engaging space that supports cognitive and physical development. Children will be able to attend accompanied by parents, assistants, or therapists, while a team of specialists will also provide additional services – functional assessments, guidance, and individualized support strategies.

We thank everyone who was part of this special experience. Together, we turned a meaningful event into a real step toward positive change in the lives of children with special needs.
