Events for the cooperation of civil organizations and state institutions in Varna
On October 18, Ruzha Doncheva – Program Director of the Foundation “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” together with Antoineta Ivanova – Executive Director of Karin Dom hosted a National Network for Children at two events for the cooperation of civil organizations and state institutions in Varna with the courtesy assistance of Galya Georgieva and Nevyana Fileva from the “Energy” Association at the Compass Community Center:
“Lachezar Tsotsorkov” Foundation under the direction “Protection of Children”. The workshop aims to present the human rights work of the National Network for Children (NNC), as well as to give the participating representatives of institutions and civil organizations the opportunity to discuss various cases of work in the field related to child protection, combating anti-social behavior, access to social services, etc.
National network for children, together with a team of the Department of Economic Sociology at UNSS, headed by Prof. Elka Todorova, on the project “Research of social attitudes towards refugees and asylum seekers: the Bulgarian model”. The project research is of key importance both for scientific knowledge and for guaranteeing the rights of migrants and refugees and their successful inclusion, incl. employment and labor market conditions, regional development, national security, social integration, access to the public health system, education, citizenship, etc. In this regard, NMD conducts qualitative research on attitudes towards refugees and asylum seekers in Bulgaria by conducting a series of focus groups with refugees.
The “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation is a member of the National Network for Children – a union of over 130 civil organizations and individuals working to support children and families. The mission of the Network is to strengthen and facilitate cooperation between non-governmental organizations and all interested parties to ensure the rights and well-being of children.
