Christmas party for children with Down Syndrome

From the beginning of December, the “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation started a series of Christmas parties for children with special educational needs.

The first Christmas party of its kind for Children with Down Syndrome was held on 02.12.2023 in the Children’s Center “Pikazki bez krai” – Zamaka, Sofia. The Foundation’s team delighted sunny children from all over the country and supported the activities of the Life with Down Syndrome Foundation.

We prepared a lot of dances, entertainment and gifts for the children, we shared with the parents about the support we provide in Varna and Sofia. The unique event was attended by children with Down syndrome, their parents, brothers and sisters. Families had come from all over the country to be a part of this celebration. Games and fun filled the hall of the Children’s Center “Fairy Tales Without End”.

The most valuable thing here is not that the children receive gifts and a treat, but the opportunity to meet many other children from all over Bulgaria and communicate with each other! Children hug each other, give smiles and love to everyone, and this love and kindness warms our hearts as well. Thank you to everyone who became a part of this event!

Christmas is one of the most awaited and bright holidays of the year, and we are glad that we were able to contribute to the Christmas spirit and mood of all children!

The second party, part of the Christmas initiatives of the “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation in cooperation with the Life with Down Syndrome Foundation, took place in the cozy atmosphere of the “Smiles” Child Development Center on December 22. The little ones were welcomed with magical decorations and a warm atmosphere filled with Christmas spirit, various games that not only entertained the children but also stimulated their interaction and social skills.

The excitement reached its peak when Santa Claus surprised everyone with his appearance, handing out specially selected Christmas gifts that lit up the faces of the little ones with the most sincere smiles.

Karte Restaurant and Bulgarian Food Bank / BG Food Bank took care of the delicious treat and the sweet surprises in the gifts. Their contribution was highly appreciated by all present, adding another layer of warmth and care to the celebration.

The “Dokova and Dokov for the Future” Foundation and the Life with Down Syndrome Foundation express their gratitude to everyone who participated and shared these unforgettable moments of joy and communication. The event left priceless memories in everyone’s hearts and highlighted the importance of community and mutual aid.
